Why I’m Putting My Entire Sex Education Curriculum on YouTube—for Free
Jun 29, 2025Sex education shouldn’t be a secret. It should be safe, clear, and accessible. That’s why I’m giving it all away.
I’ve taught sex education in just about every setting you can imagine—church basements, public schools, private homes, community workshops, and online. But nothing prepared me for the challenges of sharing this work in the digital world.
The internet is loud—and when it comes to sex education, it’s also incredibly complicated.
From the moment I brought my curriculum online, I ran into roadblocks:
-
Censorship from social media platforms
-
Shadowbanning and suppression of my posts
-
Constant confusion with adult content
-
Algorithms that push sex-ed educators to the margins while boosting misinformation and porn
It’s been exhausting and, at times, discouraging. But I’m not giving up—I’m adapting.
